Senior Manager, Business Support BB

Purpose of the Role:

The Senior Manager, Business Support, Personal & Business Baking represents the segment in the development, delivery and administration of the entire set of credit products for Personal Banking (assigned portfolio). The incumbent develops and maintains a working knowledge of country portfolios, industry and regulatory issues, economic / political trends and client requirements in order to develop appropriate credit solutions for the assigned portfolio. The incumbent represents the segment and works with stakeholders in the development of credit policy, campaigns and procedures and has responsibility for the review of country specific promotions and special requests.  

 

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manages the development of key business development initiatives including campaigns, cross-sell initiatives, marketing programmes and the development of “packaged” credit / non-credit products to increase market rate penetration and sales volume to enhance profitability.
  • Develops strategies to maximize revenues relating to PBB credit portfolio to increase the segment’s profitability.
  • Supports the development of credit solutions based on country portfolios, clients’, industry and regulatory issues, impacting economic / political trends and client requirements to manage operational efficiencies, promote a risk awareness culture and enable quick decision making in the event there are adverse conditions.
  • Oversees & influences the end-to-end PBB segment credit process (tools, application, processing, underwriting, approval and closing) across all channels to ensure the client experience is in line with the Bank’s commitment and the process is line in with credit underwriting guidelines.
  • Facilitates segment value proposition reviews and product assessments, supporting the team to raise the competitive profile of the Bank’s Personal & Business Banking segment in the regional marketplace and increase market share and profitability.
  • Manages the development and monitoring of service level agreements in collaboration with key stakeholders and critical partners (Credit Risk & Lending Operations to ensure SLAs are adhered to, standards are in line with Bank’s benchmarks for growth, customer experience balanced adequately with risk.
  • Collaborates with the advisory team to manage and monitor portfolio quality by ensuring credit monitoring tools are effectively utilised in a timely manner to protect the sustainability of the PBB portfolio.
 

Knowledge / Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ working in / with a financial institution
  • Minimum of 5 years’
  •  of leadership experience in banking including small and middle market / affluent clients and business banking clients
  • Strong understanding of the Bank’s credit risk policies and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of the Bank’s suite of products, processes and procedures with an emphasis on the lending suite
  • Understanding of regulatory and bank prudential limits
  • Thorough knowledge of operational risk policies and procedures, compliance and fraud prevention
  • Sound knowledge of business planning and development techniques, and the ability to identify opportunities, plan and develop business in support of Personal & Business Banking and the Bank’s objectives
  • Knowledge of the political and economic environments and the financial services industry in the Caribbean region.

Personal

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in personal lending

Platinum

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Platinum lending and relationship management

Business Banking

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Business Banking and relationship management


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in banking, accounting, finance or a related field
  • MBA / master’s in accounting, banking or finance or a related field would be an asset
  • Scrum Coach certification / Scrum Master certification would be an asset.
