Senior Analyst - Process Intelligence TT

General Accountability

The Senior Analyst, Process Intelligence, combines technology and traditional process re-engineering techniques to redesign and optimize processes. This role leads initiatives to improve business efficiency by utilizing process optimization methodologies including automation, while maintaining alignment with business objectives. The Senior Analyst is responsible for the design and execution of process intelligence initiatives, conducting process re-engineering and optimization across the Corporation, and leading training initiatives to build internal capabilities in process mapping and continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

Business Process Assessment & Opportunity Identification.

  • Conduct in-depth assessments of existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, control gaps, or automation opportunities.
  • Define the scope of optimization initiatives based on these findings.

Development of Process Maps and Workflows.

  • Design and document both current and future state process maps to support business process re-engineering and the integration of automation and analytics.

Management of Process Improvement Initiatives.

  • Lead end to end process improvement projects, from identifying areas for enhancement to implementing sustainable solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.

Application of Improvement Methodologies.

  • Apply frameworks such as Lean and Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement and process standardization across the organization.

Vendor Management in Support of Optimization Goals.

  • Oversee and manage external vendors engaged in process improvement efforts, ensuring timely delivery of services and alignment with project requirements.

Training Design and Delivery.

  • Design and deliver structured training programs focused on process mapping and process improvement methodologies, with the aim of strengthening organizational capability.

Coaching and Mentorship.

  • Provide mentorship and coaching to team members and key stakeholders, guiding them in the development of process optimization skills and sound decision-making.

Knowledge Transfer and Workshop Facilitation.

  • Develop high quality training materials and lead interactive workshops to ensure effective knowledge sharing and long-term learning across teams.

Cross Functional Collaboration for Implementation.

  • Collaborate closely with cross functional teams including business units, IT, and external partners to support the implementation of process intelligence systems and drive process improvement initiatives.

Presentation of Process Insights and Proposals.

  • Prepare and present findings from process analyses, including visual process maps and re-engineering proposals, to management for review, feedback, and approval.

Stakeholder Engagement and Alignment.

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure process intelligence efforts and improvement projects are aligned with business needs and priorities.

Reporting and Performance Tracking.

  • Prepare and maintain regular reports on process improvement and process intelligence activities, monitoring progress and performance against established KPIs.

Strategic Planning Support.

  • Support the organization’s strategic planning by contributing insights derived from the process of intelligence and ongoing improvement initiatives.

Support for Managerial Requests.

  • Provide timely assistance in fulfilling ad-hoc requests from the Manager, particularly those related to process mapping or improvement activities.

 

The selected candidate must possess the following combination of qualifications, skills, training and experience:

  • A First Degree in a relevant field from an accredited tertiary institution
  • Minimum of five (5) years’   experience in a similar position within the financial industry and
  • Three (3) years’ supervisory experience
  • Suitable combination of training and experience
  • Certification or coursework in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, or similar) will be an asset.
  • Certification in Lean or Six Sigma will be an asset.

OR

  • A Diploma in a relevant field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of six (6) years’   experience in a similar position within the financial industry and
  • Four (4) years’ supervisory experience
  • Suitable combination of training and experience
  • Certification or coursework in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, or similar) will be an asset.
  • Certification in Lean or Six Sigma will be an asset.
