What’s the role
The Reservoir Engineer will be responsible for providing reservoir and petroleum engineering expertise/support to the team in the areas of production monitoring, forecasting, reservoir management, well and field development planning activities.
What you’ll be doing
Use expertise to design and ensure delivery of effective reservoir engineering practices (Fluid characterization, Reservoir Surveillance, Production Forecasting, Material Balance, Reservoir Simulation, Reserves Estimation) to support all exploration, development and production activities
Support building and updating of reliable reservoir & network models (IPSM), underpinning investment decisions and business plans
Support in ensuring effective management of development and depletion plans for producing fields to maximize value and meet business plan targets
Responsible for the construction and maintenance of the integrated asset model
Responsible for production monitoring and preparation of monthly forecasts
Ensure timely and effective data acquisition, incorporation and analysis of well/reservoir data using standard storage and analysis applications (e.g. well test data, PVT, SCAL, PLT)
Responsible for issuing and maintaining up-to-date Reservoir Management Plans for all fields in the execution and operational phases
Present technical work to senior management, partners, and government representatives as needed
Perform reserves estimation and classification in compliance with industry standards such as SPE-PRMS or SEC guidelines.
What you bring
Must have legal authorization to work in Trinidad & Tobago on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
BSc/MSc in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent
5+ years of reservoir engineering experience with a strong record of continuous development
Experience in reservoir modelling and simulation using Eclipse, Petrel RE, or similar tools
Familiar with uncertainty modelling and tools like MEPO
Proficient in RE software (Petrel, PVTi, Saphir, IPM) and workflows (PVT, SCAL, reserves, decline/nodal analysis, forecasting, optimization)
Solid understanding of related disciplines (geology, geophysics, drilling, facilities, economics)
Strong collaborator in multidisciplinary teams
Clear communicator with constructive challenge skills
Proactive, flexible team player with cultural awareness
Self-motivated, organized, and decisive under pressure
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Eager to learn and apply best practices
