As Projects Coordinator, you play a vital role in the successful execution and coordination of multidisciplinary projects that support the airport’s strategic development. Working closely with Project Managers and stakeholders, you ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with our long-term vision. Your scope will include construction projects in Electrical, IT, Mechanical, Civil, and Structural fields.
Main responsibilities include:
- Assist Project Managers in planning, executing, and monitoring projects, ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, and budget.
- Monitor critical path activities and proactively identify deviations, proposing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track
- Facilitate communication between internal teams (engineering, IT, finance) and external partners (contractors, consultants).
- Assist Project Manager to compile and validate handover packages, including as-built drawings, warranties, operation manuals, and compliance certificates for end operator use.
- Support procurement processes, including vendor coordination and invoice verification.
- Assist the Project Manager to conduct risk assessments and maintain risk registers, escalating high-impact issues to management with recommended solutions.
- Ensure all project documentation adheres to organizational policies, industry regulations (e.g., AGA, ICAO, and ACI publications), and audit requirements.
- Assist the Project Manager to prepare and present progress reports to steering committees, justifying delays or budget adjustments with data-driven insights.
- Assist in financial tracking, budget updates, and reconciliation with the Financial Project Controller.
- Recommend improvements to drafting standards, document control procedures, or digital tools (e.g., BIM, AutoCAD plugins) to streamline workflows.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO/HTS) in Engineering, Project Management or related field, or Associate degree with extensive technical knowledge.
- 3+ years of experience in project coordination, preferably in infrastructure or construction. Knowledge and experience working with project management frameworks (PRINCE2, PMP, ACP).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and writing, in English, Dutch and Papiamento. Spanish is a plus.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, MS 365, SharePoint) and collaboration platforms.
- Proactive, results-oriented, with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with budgeting, risk management, and construction guidelines.
- Relentless follow-through: Known for pushing tasks to completion despite external delays
