Jr. Officer - Payment Operations AW

General Purpose:

The Jr. Officer in Payment Operations is a dynamic and versatile team member and can perform the Jr. Officer tasks of all the different areas as per a rotation schedule (Transfer, Cards, Archiving). The Jr. Officer may assist the Merchant services team with preparation and administrative tasks when needed.

Position Highlights:

  • Process client transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Investigate and timely resolve transfer claims.
  • Handle debit and credit card operations, including issuance, and maintenance.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve card claims.
  • Document printing, scanning and filing.
  • Handle internal purchase orders.
  • Assist with preparing POS terminals and boarding of merchants in the system.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal and external clients.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of LEAN initiatives to improve payment processes.
  • Collaborate with other team members and the team leaders to ensure smooth operations and adherence to protocols.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to various Payment Operations projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum MBO/EPI degree, preferably in an Administration business field.
  • 2–3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in banking or payment processing is an advantage.
  • Ability to quickly learn to work with a variety of banking and card-related IT systems and applications.
  • Planning, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with investigative, reporting, and administrative competencies.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with internal/external clients.
  • Patience and ability to provide clear instruction, clarification, and training to peer colleagues.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced, demanding environment while adhering to work instructions and procedures.
  • Flexible team player with a collaborative and proactive "can-do" mentality.
  • Self-motivated, with a drive to take initiative and ensure tasks are completed within set deadlines.
