Job Summary
The incumbent will be responsible for the overall growth, profitability, and operational performance of First Citizens Investment Services LTD in all regional offices outside of Trinidad and Tobago. The position is also responsible for the identification and development of new countries beyond the existing footprint of the company.
The Head –Regional Operations develops and implements initiatives to create value for the company (FCIS) with the ongoing observance of the Company’s standards, policies, and procedures, and in keeping with the strategic direction and business objectives of the Bank/Group.
The Head – Regional Operations provides direction and overall oversight of the funds under Management and for services offered by the Subsidiaries of the First Citizens Group.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for all Regional Country Offices and the establishment of new offices; bears full responsibility for the Region’s financial & ethical performance
- Identify and analyse new opportunities for FCIS to expand its geographic footprint
- Ensure implementation of general policies related to the Branches established by the Board of Directors, in keeping with the strategic direction and business objectives of the Subsidiary.
- Implement business plans & Strategy as approved by the Board of Directors for the Regional Operations
- Ensure organisational efficiency & effectiveness; grows revenues, provides optimal resourcing (human & capital, including IT infrastructure), ensures high levels of service delivery (internal & customer)
- Manage key stakeholder relationships; advances & protects Country’s interests by lobbying & making representations to government, industry groups & other external parties, build relationships with local & international investment communities, adopts a visible public role through public & media interactions, provides local industry leadership
- Manage customer relationships; maintain constant dialogue, monitor evolving needs, monitor client care audits/quality indicators/client surveys, and develop early dissatisfaction detection mechanisms
- Maintain active relationship with the Management and staff & other Country Offices; utilise Corporate expertise, prepare reports (key performance indicators/critical issues)
- Promote brand awareness amongst all stakeholders: employees & customers; position as a recognised financial services leader
- Manage human resources necessary for the efficient and professional operation of the company
- Manage the budget and account for variances for the efficient and professional operation of the Regional Operations
- Manage Region risk exposure and adopt and maintain measures to mitigate and reduce risk
- Perform all other duties, assignments, and special projects as assigned by the Board of Directors and Senior Management relative to the Function
Qualifications and Experience
- Candidate must possess a First degree and a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline from a reputable University or other professional qualification from a recognized professional body, e.g., CFA, CIMA, ACCA, and a minimum of seven (7) years’ progressive experience in a relevant industry, with at least five (5) of which must be at the Managerial level. Or
- A First degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of management experience in a relevant industry, with a successful track record of performance
Special Certifications/Licensures:
- Principal License from the Eastern Caribbean Securities Regulatory Commission
