General Purpose:

The Field Support Technician's primary role is to provide first line support to end-users of the Bank’s computing environment. This includes installing, configuring, testing, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting end-user workstations and related hardware and software in order to deliver required desktop service levels. The Field Support Technician also provides support on IT software applications related to the core and card banking system. The Field Support Technician is based at Orco Bank Sint Maarten. 

Position Highlights: 

• Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies;
• Installs, configures, tests, maintains, monitors and troubleshoots end-user workstations and related hardware and software in order to deliver required desktop service levels;
• Communicates recurring support issues to management;
• Guides users in working with software;
• Collaborates with network administrators to ensure efficient operation of the company’s desktop computing environment;
• Performs onsite analysis, diagnosis and resolution of complex desktop problems for end users, and recommends and implements corrective solutions, including offsite repair for remote users as needed.

Requirements: 

•  Minimum Associate/MBO Technology Degree recommended, with IT related certificates , (Comptia A+ / Network+)
•  Knowledge of software (Microsoft Office, Windows, etc.);
• Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience;
• PC knowledge and expertise;
• Previous experience with banking application system(s) is a plus;
•  Exceptional customer service skills and strong attention to detail;
• Strong written and oral communication skills;
• Willing to work flexible hours;
• Team player
