General Accountability
The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting and processing data and providing critical data analysis and business insights to inform project goals, drive strategic decision-making and support execution and completion of a high-impact strategic project.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection and Cleaning
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by employing various techniques for data collection and scrubbing. This includes identifying and correcting errors, inconsistencies, and anomalies in datasets.
- Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize efficiency and data quality.
Data Analysis
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Communicate complex data findings and recommendations in a way that is easily understandable by stakeholders with varying levels of expertise.
- Develop expertise in key success metrics relative to the high-impact project.
Create and deliver regular reports and dashboards that communicate findings clearly and effectively.
Cross Department Collaboration
- Establish close working relationships with a range of cross-functional stakeholders including sales and marketing, information and communication technology, risk and compliance) to understand the impact of their data on the project objectives and execution.
- Assist in developing strategies for improvement based on data-driven insights from departmental feedback.
Data Governance and Best Practices
- Promote data governance principles within the organization by establishing best practices for data management, usage, and quality assurance.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, methodologies, and workflows.
The selected candidate must possess the following combination of qualifications, skills, training and experience:
- A First Degree in a relevant field from an accredited tertiary institution
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar position within the financial industry and
- Two (2) years’ supervisory experience
- Suitable combination of training and experience
OR
- A Diploma in a relevant field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar position within the financial industry and
- Three (3) years’ supervisory experience
- Suitable combination of training and experience
