Data Analyst TT

General Accountability

The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting and processing data and providing critical data analysis and business insights to inform project goals, drive strategic decision-making and support execution and completion of a high-impact strategic project.

 

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection and Cleaning

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by employing various techniques for data collection and scrubbing. This includes identifying and correcting errors, inconsistencies, and anomalies in datasets.
  • Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize efficiency and data quality.

 

Data Analysis

  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Communicate complex data findings and recommendations in a way that is easily understandable by stakeholders with varying levels of expertise.
  • Develop expertise in key success metrics relative to the high-impact project.

Create and deliver regular reports and dashboards that communicate findings clearly and  effectively.

 

Cross Department Collaboration

  • Establish close working relationships with a range of cross-functional stakeholders including sales and marketing, information and communication technology, risk and compliance) to understand the impact of their data on the project objectives and execution.
  • Assist in developing strategies for improvement based on data-driven insights from departmental feedback.

 

Data Governance and Best Practices

  • Promote data governance principles within the organization by establishing best practices for data management, usage, and quality assurance.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, methodologies, and workflows.

 

The selected candidate must possess the following combination of qualifications, skills, training and experience:

  • A First Degree in a relevant field from an accredited tertiary institution  
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar position within the financial industry and
  • Two (2) years’ supervisory experience
  • Suitable combination of training and experience

OR

  • A Diploma in a relevant field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar position within the financial industry and
  • Three (3) years’ supervisory experience
  • Suitable combination of training and experience
