KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITIES
  • Ensures the efficient and timely processing of the business of the Bank through the collection, sorting and delivery of mail, packages, and other documents/items on behalf of the Group to and from internal and external locations.
  • Facilitates the internal cheque clearing process of the Bank through the collection and delivery of the clearings bag to the Payment Processing Centre. It is the duty of the Courier to ensure that the Clearings bag is received and is secured. Where no bag is evident the Courier is required to contact the Branch to ensure the collection of same. 
  • Delivers the out clearings to the other Banks on behalf of the Payment Processing Centre
  • Facilitates the Settlement of clearings function by transporting staff of Payment Processing Centre to and from CBTT
  • Facilitates the payment of Standing Orders by delivery of cheques to various institutions. 
  • Delivers the confidential statements to the Bank’s authorized provider for the statement stuffing process. 
  • Facilitates the Bank’s lending process through the delivery and collection of security documents for and behalf of the Central Branch Support Unit to the Bank’s lawyers. 
  • Transports boxes of day’s work to and from the Bank’s Archives.
  • Provides support in the Disaster Recovery process via the transportation of backup tapes on behalf of ICT.
  • Delivers and collects bulk mail to and from TTPost’s offices on behalf of the Group to ensure the timely processing of invoices on behalf of the Group
  • Supports the Group’s Business Continuity efforts through the provision of support services to any and all of the recovery teams
  • Facilitates the Bank’s customer service standards through the collection and urgent delivery of instruments of exchange e.g. Credit Cards to customers
  • Facilitates the Bank’s disciplinary process via the delivery of disciplinary letters to staff members
  • Supports the Guard Services of the SSU in the compliance auditing process of the external officers, specifically at locations at which there are no internal officers
  • Supports the Bank by conducting physical surveillance of the Group’s buildings
  • Performs safety and basic maintenance checks to ensure that the assigned vehicle is in good working condition and completes a checklist
  • Transports staff within the Security Services Unit and other Units where necessary and as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager
  • Engages in marketing of the Group’s products and services
  • Responds to customers’ requests, enquiries, incoming and outgoing calls, both local and foreign, in a courteous and timely manner consistent with operating standards and escalation to Supervisor/Manager where necessary
  • Completes special projects and other related activities as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Candidates must possess three (3) GCE O’Levels Grades A, B and C or CXC O’Levels (General Proficiency) Grades I, II or III of which one must be English Language
  • Candidate must also possess a valid T&T Driver’s License Class 4 with at least three (3) years’ driving experience. Kindly note a scan of your T&T Driver’s License must be attached to your application. 
  • Defensive driving certification as well as tactical driving
  • Medically certified to be free of musculoskeletal disorders that would potentially hinder the bending, lifting and load requirements of the job
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certifications, Basic Risk Assessments and Surveillance, and Basic Automotive Maintenance
  • Must be trained in safe lifting practices and able to consistently lift packages of approximately 50lbs each as well as push trolleys of a maximum weight of approximately 200lbs
  • Good customer service orientation, oral and written communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
