We are seeking a motivated, creative and proactive professional with an affinity for marketing and communication for the position of Communications Assistant. You are an all-round expert who creates, implements and monitors internal and external communication and publicity programs that describe and promote SMMC, SMGH and our services. You possess great communication and interpersonal skills. You also have a can-do attitude to develop and implement marketing and communication strategies in order to strengthen the corporate image and position SMMC and SMGH as a leading healthcare provider in the region.

Requirements:
• An Associate degree or equivalent in the fields of communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field with a minimum of one year of experience in a similar position;
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to create compelling content and interact effectively with various stakeholders;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, WordPress, social media management, and content creation;
• Highly skilled in writing, photography, videography, or graphic design;
• Excellent command of the English language. An additional language such as Dutch, Spanish, or French is considered an asset.
Tasks:
• Assist in carrying out all internal and external communication activities;
• Draft and edit various forms of content such as press releases, presentations, job vacancies, social media content and internal communications;
• Ensure that all communication aligns with the organization’s brand standards;
• Stay up to date on social media trends and assist in managing social media channels;
• Assist in the planning and execution of communication-related events such as health promotion events and employee engagement events;
• Provide appropriate support to other departments and stakeholders.
