Purpose:
To carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance and related duties of company vehicles, facilities and equipment according to Shell Aviation, Group and local operating standards.
Main Role:
• Respond effectively and efficiently to vehicle, facility and equipment fault reports.
• Maintain all fixed and mobile equipment to minimize disruption of services and maximize asset life.
• Carry out daily, weekly and other vehicle maintenance checks of refueling vehicles and its equipment in accordance with Shell Aviation standards.
• Agree spares levels and storage requirements for all spares.
• Maintain and secure all company tools in safe and good working condition.
• Keep garage and other working areas in clean, safe and secure conditions.
• Implement a system for tracking inspection action and ensuring timely close out.
• Pro-actively contribute to the safe conduct of all maintenance activity.
• Any other reasonable tasks directly or indirectly related to the position that may be requested from management from time to time.
HSSE:

• Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental management.
• Identification of and assist in the compliance of applicable laws and regulations.
• Observe HSE regulations, wears all required safety equipment, encourages safe working practices, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports them to the proper personnel.
• Ability to work with employees and achieve cultural change in the face of potential resistance.

Qualification Requirements:
• A sound secondary education in a technical field.
• 3 to 5 years working mechanical knowledge of Aviation Fueling equipment.
Other Competency Requirements:
• The person occupying this position must possess a high degree of competence and responsibility.
• The Aviation Mechanic must be an individual who can make quick and accurate decisions on equipment repair/replacement.
• He/she must be able to work unsupervised and have a genuine understanding of all mechanical phases of the Aviation facility.
• Additionally, he/she must be able to effectively communicate to his/her supervisor and co-workers.
• Quality attitude, safety awareness and environmental consciousness are qualities that must be always displayed.
• The Aviation Mechanic must report on conditions/actions prejudging safer Operation.
• Facility Maintenance – Can do.
• HSSE Policies/HSSE Management Systems - Sound understanding.
• Product Knowledge/PPE - Working knowledge.
• Shell Airport Operations Manual procedures – Working knowledge.
• Fire Fighting/Emergency Response/ - Working knowledge
• Must have extensive experience in heavy vehicle maintenance.
• Must be literate and have good recording skills.
• Must have drivers’ licence for heavy vehicles.
Other Information:
