As the Aerodrome Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for painting, maintaining, and performing minor repairs to aerodrome infrastructure, including markings, buildings, and airside facilities of AAA NV. You ensure compliance with AUA-AGA regulations and company quality and safety standards. This role also includes general airside maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, fencing repairs, and gate servicing to guarantee the continuous, safe and efficient operation of the airside environment.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Perform painting and maintenance of markings and buildings on both airside and landside areas to comply with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct small-scale maintenance work such as repairing fences, maintaining sliding gates, and general upkeep of airside structures.
  • Carry out vegetation control, including cutting grass and clearing debris in airside operational areas.
  • Execute the daily work plan for painting and maintenance activities and report all completed work in Maximo.
  • Maintain clear and accurate logs of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Request paint, beads, solvents, brushes, and related tools as required.
  • Clean painting machines and other equipment after use, following manufacturer recommendations.
  • Coordinate replacement parts or report any equipment malfunction promptly.

Qualifications

  • Minimum EPB diploma (or equivalent) supplemented with vocational training (painting/construction).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a painter/handyman or similar role.
  • Skilled in painting techniques, including sanding, scraping, priming, color mixing, and spray gun operation.
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance methods and materials.
  • Skilled in solving routine technical problems during maintenance tasks.
  • Proficient in using communication equipment (radio, paging, etc.).
  • Must have a valid driving license type B.
  • Flexible to work mainly at night after operational hours, and available on weekends and holidays when required.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch and/or Spanish is a plus.

Unit: Engineering & QC

The Aerodrome Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Civil Engineer.
