Manager - Customer Insights TT

JOB SUMMARY

The incumbent will be responsible for the conceptualization, creation, development and execution of business generation strategies for the relevant loan, deposit and investment portfolios which will allow the First Citizens Group to achieve its retail, small and medium enterprises, commercial and investment business generation objectives. He/she would also oversee the direction and growth of retail, commercial and investment business planning by assessing, shaping and setting sales strategies to grow the business efficiently and effectively to meet revenue targets for the Group.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development of sales strategies and execution for the retail, commercial, and investment portfolios: Leads the conceptualization, creation, and development of comprehensive business generation strategies for retail, commercial, and investment services.
  • Collaborates with Business Unit/Subsidiary Heads across the region to align strategies with overall organizational goals; Manages strategies to meet or exceed annual strategic growth goals and objectives.
  • Leads the analysis of customer data to propose insights into behaviors, preferences, and trends and makes the relevant strategic recommendation for the relevant line of business.
  • Develops and manages sales campaign/segment/product briefs/ proposals. Utilizes customer insights/data from the data scientist/ research team to tailor campaigns that resonate with target segments and drive customer engagement.
  • Collaborates and chairs meetings with relevant stakeholders in the region to identify and pursue incremental growth opportunities (new markets, regional opportunities, etc.} outside and within the existing portfolio.
  • Reviews the immediate, midterm and long-term business growth gaps within the Group's portfolio and recommends solutions to fill the gaps.
  • Drives the analysis of the research data, conclusions and strategic direction of local and regional market research findings, particularly in terms of market segmentation, and promotional strategies.
  • Manages the implementation of the product/customer segment strategies and plans: Leverages the data-driven recommendations from the data scientist and segment manager for product enhancements, new offerings, or adjustments to existing products & services
  • Provides oversight and strategic direction to Segment Managers responsible for managing the entire product lifecycle. Ensures that product planning, assessment, and enhancement align with the broader business generation objectives.
  • Reviews the data provided for emerging opportunities and recommends solutions that may impact the retail and investment portfolios; Obtains approval from the Product Management committee for new/ rejuvenated products.
  • Through various surveys and assessment tools, identifies strategic local and regional positioning of consumer products and services; Advises Central Bank, via the Legal Department, of the Bank's intention to launch or rejuvenate a new product.
  • Conducts training internal, in conjunction with line of business, to inform staff of the product features, benefits and competitive positioning; Prepares and executes the product launches.
  • Crafts the reward/recognition strategies and incentives for customers. Obtains approval, implements and tracks/monitors.
  • Keeps up to date with all major competitors, product acquisition and expansion strategies to inform internal product development.
  • Product Profitability and Performance/Rejuvenation: Establishes key performance indicators (KPls) with the Sales Coach to monitor the effectiveness of business generation strategies. Regularly assess and report on the performance of initiatives.
  • Regularly evaluates segments, as well as products across their lifecycle to determine relevance and recommend enhancement of existing, or elimination of obsolete products where necessary.
  • Communication, Metrics & Reporting: Manages the reports on the results of analyses, predictions for future business, and recommends appropriate action; Provides and manages recommendations on changes required to achieve the agreed objectives.
  • Prepares and presents regular reports to the Head of the Customer Value Unit, summarizing key customer insights, market trends, and the impact on product portfolios. Communicates findings effectively to relevant stakeholders.
  • Builds strong and effective relationships and networks with key stakeholders, leaders and decision makers internally and externally throughout the Region.
  • Completes special projects which may be assigned by the Senior Manager; presents regular reports to the Management team, sales teams on CVU activities and other matters and participates in all Business Continuity Planning activities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree from a reputable University or other professional qualification from a recognized professional body e.g. CFA, CIMA, ACCA and five (5) years general industry experience with three (3) years progressive experience in marketing, sales or product management, of which at least two (2) years must be at Managerial level OR
  • Executive Diploma/Diploma and seven (7) years progressive relevant experience in marketing, sales or product management, with at least five (5) years Managerial experience in the core function OR
  • Professional Designation/GMDP Certificate and ten (10) years progressive experience in marketing, sales or product management, with at least seven (7) years Managerial experience in the core function. MBA and Investment experience is preferred.
  • Preferred Certifications/Licensures: (Computer Literacy, with focus on competency in XL, Power Point and Data Analytics., Certified Customer Experience Professional Accreditation (CCXP))
