Supply Chain Coordination lead

What is the role?

This is an opportunity for an individual with proven supply chain skills including experience in inbound logistics management, material coordination, trade and controls and expediting, negotiating deals, developing and executing tenders, managing contracts and suppliers, and embedding requirements for Ethics, HSSE&SP, Supplier Diversity and GHG targets. Reporting to the Planning and Logistics Manager , the position will provide support the delivery of key STTL projects for future sustainability and growth.


  • Manages the Supply Chain Operational services specific to Inbound Logistics, Material Movement and Land Transport of Materials including adjustments to schedules, prioritization, develops alternative solutions with a continuous improvement mindset

  • Ensure that all Material related Logistics operations are provided via adequate resources, tools, personal safety equipment and instructions; constantly check equipment capability and serviceability, personal competencies and the work environment, follow instructions and/or limitations.

  • Provide oversight and manage safe, efficient, and effective service delivery operations to meet scheduled and ad hoc demand for supply chain dependent services which include: Aviation, Marine, Operation of Terminals, Supply Bases, Warehouses and Yards whilst maintaining a strong safety culture.

  • Manage effectively key interfaces with contracted resources and customers within Shell Trinidad and Tobago.

  • Manage compliance with Trade Controls in alignment with Shell Global standards and regulatory standards for import and export of material for region.

  • Ensure contractors compliant to applicable Standard and regulations.

  • Support optimized logistics options for complex activities such as rig mooring and movement, movement of oversized equipment, supporting subsea marine activities.

  • Support assessments of Shell managed facilities for Aviation, Marine, Operation of Terminals, Supply Bases, Warehouses and Yards are fit for use and initiate corrective actions if required.

  • Develop and maintain logistics emergency response procedures and capability and lead emergency response activities.

  • Embed and sustain a strong safety culture across logistics operations with both Shell and contracted teams.

What we need from you

  • Must have legal authorization to work in Trinidad & Tobago (or any of the CARICOM member country) on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience working in Inbound Logistic operations managing risks related to traffic on the Supply Chain, expediting, material movement, and lifting and hoisting is required.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience is required.

  • Knowledge of Logistics within end-to-end supply chain management context

  • Understands and can apply waste management standards, specifications and legislative requirements.

  • Highly tuned commercial acumen and curiosity with demonstrated ability to develop and deliver value from complex deals.

  • Focused on tangible value outcomes for the enterprise, translates strategy to outcomes
