What is the role?
The Senior Pipelines/Flow Assurance Engineer is responsible for the following:
Leads subsea pipeline and flowline integrity activities including operational and intelligent pigging, annual topsides inspections, cathodic protection surveys, topographical surveys, ROV inspections, immediate corrective actions
Reports and analyzes subsea pipeline and flowline integrity results
Leads ROV inspections of steel jacket and subsea structures, and completion of CMs as required
Provides steady state and transient thermal-hydraulic modelling using OLGA, PIPESIM or similar software
Leads Mechanical Brownfield modifications to existing assets, in accordance with industry and Company requirements
Leads Corrosion Monitoring activities: Cathodic Protection, Corrosion Coupon Retrieval, Implementation of Corrosion Probes and Non-intrusive corrosion monitors
Utilize Leader Standard Work to carve out the time to focus on Proactive Technical Monitoring (PTM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Technical Assurance, Fountain Action Items, Management of Change, Fit for the Future, Manage Threats and Opportunities, Manage Equipment Care (MEC) Program as well as management of the Integrity Management System (IMS).
Contribute to peer assists, reviews and formal Technical Assurance reviews to ensure compliance with the HSSE & SP Control Framework.
Assist in expanding the “knowledge network” for the mechanical engineering/pipelines and corrosion management area within the asset to ensure key learnings are shared and best practices are used.
Conduct pipeline and subsea asset class inspection anomaly assessment action and close out
What we need from you
Must have legal authorization to work in Trinidad & Tobago (or any of the CARICOM member country) on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Minimum 8 years of experience in Pipeline/Flow Assurance Engineering is a must.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
NACE Cathodic Protection or Coating Inspector Program (preferred)
Knowledge and understanding of Corrosion Management and Mechanical Engineering Principles.
Knowledge and understanding of Flow assurance analysis;
Knowledge and understanding of the multiphase transportation network and receiving facilities to mitigate flow assurance risks such as flow instabilities/slugging, hydrates, etc.
Knowledge and understanding of executing maintenance and intelligent pigging programs.
A demonstrable commitment to HSSE and quality.
Strong communication skills, both written and orally, supported by interpersonal skills that allow working at a senior level.
Team player mindset with ability to work in geographically diverse and multi-cultural environments.
Ability to challenge others in a constructive manner and negotiate with internal peers and partner’s representatives to influence decisions or ways of working.
Excellent written and presentation skills, with ability to adapt style and content of presentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Knowledge of pipeline regulatory matters.
