Portfolio Manager - Employee Benefit Plan TT

What is the opportunity?          

In the role of Portfolio Manager Employee Benefit Plans, you will provide a full range of investment management services to our various pension clients, including portfolio management, trade management and execution and client relations.  As one of the largest providers of investment management services for pension plans in the local market, our reputation of progressive portfolio management techniques, prompt and efficient service, and superior results has become a hallmark that sets us apart.  

What will you do?

  • Design strategies unique to each portfolio, with the objective of having the Plans’ performance surpass the designated benchmark
  • Execute the recommended strategies within the Company’s risk framework
  • Manage the day-to-day client relationship, including reporting to and meeting with clients
  • Respond to client queries and requests
  • Maintain compliance with statutory and policy requirements

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • A First Degree in Finance, Business Administration or Economics
  • CFA Charter holder or minimum Level II CFA Candidate
  • Sound working knowledge of the relevant Regulations and Acts including the Insurance Act 2018, the Income Tax Act, the Financial Institutions Act 2008, the Security Industry Act 1995
  • Knowledge of local and foreign financial markets including fixed income, equity, money markets, currencies and commodities
  • Understanding of economic conditions and their impact on investment performance and opportunities
  • Keen understanding of asset structures and portfolio management techniques including asset/liability management
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the portfolio management concepts, risk measures and performance measurement and analysis

Nice-to-have

  • MBA would be an asset
