Delisle Walwyn Group of Companies is seeking an experienced and hardworking individual to fill the position of Operations Coordinator for their Kantours department. The successful candidate will play a vital role within this department. This will involve learning the products and services offered by Kantours Vacation & Tour Consultants. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to the following:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Perform a support role in Cruise Ship supervision and tour dispatch at the port.
· Prepare ship allocations and assist in preparing bids for the upcoming seasons
· Assist with quality control and inspection duties
· Assist with tour development
· Meet and greet all guests as they arrive at various locations such as the Pier, the Airport, and other locations as requested.
· Provide support to department Supervisor/Manager
· Partner with department managers on group management projects.
· Assist in the execution of Special requests from clients.
· Investigate and assist in the resolution of any issues associated with the processing of client requests.
· Respond to email enquiries, prepare proposals as requested.
· Coordinate tour bookings per the request of customers.
· Investigate and assist in the resolution of any issues associated with the processing of client requests.
Other responsibilities
· Reconcile daily sales and prepare daily bank deposits.
· Maintain office files and update departmental records in the internal data base system.
· Prepare monthly departmental reports.
· Provide administrative support to DMC and Fairview Inn departments.
· Coordinate repairs and maintenance of the Fairview Inn property as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Two (2) or more years of Tourism related work experience would be an asset.
· Tertiary education preferred however a minimum of five (5) CXC O Level courses to include English is required.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· A valid drivers license would be an asset.
· Must possess strong organizational and time management skills.
· Must have effective oral and written communication skills.
· Must be able to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Must be able to work flexible work hours i.e. weekends and public holidays.
· Must be detail oriented, reliable with a pleasant and professional attitude.
· Knowledge of tourism related products and services would be a plus.
· Administrative work experience would be an asset.
