National Energy Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (National Energy) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (NGC), with a mandate to conceptualize, promote, develop and facilitate new energy-based industries including downstream industries locally and internationally.
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Organisational Capability, SCM and Branding with responsibilities for the development and implementation of effective Supply Chain management strategies for continuously meeting the organisation’s needs. This position provides tactical and operational oversight for the process of acquisition and supply of materials, equipment, supplies, services, in accordance with Company and regulatory requirements, transparency, integrity and value for money.
Develops the SCM strategy and workplan in alignment with the Company’s strategic imperatives;
Deploys appropriate measurement methodologies to ensure that value for money is derived from supply chain activities for sourcing and contracting;
Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain;
Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company;
Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements;
Designs and implements relationship building for vendor evaluation process and business value.
Negotiates prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, and/or freight forwarders to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability;
Guides the review, evaluation, and amendment of policies, procedures, quality standards and practices related to procurement and the development of Strategic Agreements;
