JOB SUMMARY

The Ground Operations Coordinator will report to the Airport Supervisor. The incumbent will be responsible for 
developing, promoting and enhancing the company’s image and reputation at the airport by supervising and coordinating the work processes to achieve the station’s on-time performance targets. He/she will supervise and direct baggage cargo handling, loading and offloading activities on the ramp while maintaining a high level of professionalism, care and integrity at all times.  
 

KEY DELIVERABLES:

Compliance: Operates within the policies and procedures of the company’s passenger and ground services manuals; the company’s dangerous goods manuals; company’s ramp handling manuals and safety manuals. 

Operational Effectiveness: Coordinates with other relevant departments to achieve aircraft turns within
stipulated/standard times whilst ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures. He/she will ensure that all ramp vehicles, loading and offloading equipment and aircraft steps are available and serviceable.

Supervise: Ground handlers, ramp foremen, and attendants in the overall loading, offloading and transportation of baggage/cargo and the performance of other related ramp activities. 

Commuication: Possesses a high standard of written and oral communication skills and has the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization. 

Team Player : Works well as a contributing member of a high performance team; performs role assigned for the common good of the team; can assume the role of leader, thinker or doer to ensure team meets its objectives.

Customer Focus:  Demonstrates the value of customer satisfaction in support of the goals and objectives of Operations and by extension Caribbean Airlines. 

Problem Solving:  Analyzes data, prioritizes tasks and deadlines and creates solutions to problems; suggests efficiency and quality improvements within the work area.


PERSON SPECIFICATION: 
You are required to have a minimum of three(3) years experince in a ramp handling role, preferably in the airline industry. You must also possess a minimum of (5) CXC/ GCE Ordinary Level passes including Mathematics and English.  You must demonstrate proficiency in using the MS Office Suite, in particular, MS Word and MS Excel. You must possess Good supervisory  and negotiations skills; Good written and verbal skills; Ability to lead and work with interdepartmental teams; Ability to multitask and coordinate time sensitive duties.
