The incumbent acts as Motor Pool Clerk who maintains post’s motor vehicle assets (Government Owned Vehicles – GOVs), to include processing requests, records upkeep, and maintaining vehicles in safe operating condition. Ensures that operators have proper training and required permits/licenses. Coordinates with POSHO and POSHO Assistant to ensure mishap reports are prepared for motor vehicle mishaps. Acts as Receiving Clerk responsible for receipt of all goods and some services procured on behalf of post for operations. Must follow proper procedures to ensure asset creation and allow for payment processing.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Completion of secondary school is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to work effectively at all levels in the Mission. Must have good attention to detail and be able to work independently. Basic computer skills required to include MSWord, Excel and Outlook. Must have basic data input and review skills. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with good driving record. Will need to know or be trained in forklift operation. Must be able to lift up to 45kg and to manipulate heavy items and/or cargo applying all safety regulations.
