Commercial Development Manager - Plant Based

Position Summary

You will support the development of omni-channel category strategies that deliver customer growth, ensures Shopper & Customer relevancy of all major innovations and renovations as part of I2L ways-of-working driving the on-going alignment of executable brand, customer, channel & field sales plans that deliver on annual business targets.

A day in the life of...

  • Ensure both internal and external stakeholders are aligned to the category vision and initiatives. Own the integrated commercial planning end to end of the assigned Category, driving the efficiency and continuous improvement, to build and propose the strategy and activities for channels, customers, and ADC countries.
  • Proactively search new business opportunities, understand new trends, emerging formats and innovative Customer approach and benchmarks competition in new channels/format.
  • Develop shopper facing initiatives in order to attract and convert more shoppers to the category and ensure the desired behaviour change is delivered through insight led design and targeted communication and activation up to and at the point of purchase.
  • Monitor and track performance of categories in each of the sales channel and regions whilst supporting business performance in respect to achieve sales targets by action planning towards gaps and projects.
  • Lead the assigned Category Monthly Business Process, forecasting the right volumes per market and, to provide the Operations input for factory and supply the demand planning for production and resources to ensure the right inventory and product for customers.
  • Develop clear promotional guidelines/policies across our channels & customers based on agreed brand pricing strategies, infused with consumer & shopper insights.
  • Partner with marketing, sales & finance to optimize promotion plans based on systematic promotional evaluation, challenge effectiveness, funding & mechanics, consistently applying Keep/Modify/Drop mindset, balancing trade investment with customer tactics and needs, to improve ROI.

What will make you successful

  • First Degree in Business Management or Sales / Master’s degree would be an asset.
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in a FMCG Industry.
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing.
  • Knowledge to execute Territory and Joint Business Plans.
  • Excellent Organizational skills, Logical thinking, problem assessment and resolution oriented.
  • Results driven and passionate about improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated clarity in both oral and written skills.
  • Leadership skills & the ability to influence and motivate people at all levels and customer management.
  • Demonstrated experience in working under pressure.
  • Strong analytical ability and decision making.
