Broking Services Officer

Purpose of Job:

To provide technical support to the Broking Sales team as well as administering the insurance needs/portfolios of clients through follow up and auxiliary services to the clients’ satisfaction and within the Company’s guidelines, vetting of all documents to ensure that they represent negotiated terms and are delivered to clients within the shortest possible time. In addition, the role involves the signing/authorizing of critical insurance documents including cover notes and certificates of insurance.

 

Principal Responsibilities:

 

  • Administer the handling of assigned Corporate accounts.

  • To anticipate and initiate advice on matters pertinent to the proper protection of assets and liabilities of the client

  • Authorise transactions such as commission changes, credit notes and cheque requisitions

  • Assess and execute changes requested by clients during the policy year according to service standards

  • Ensure that invoices are dispatched to clients according to service standard

  • Sign cover notes and certificates of insurance

  • Ensure accurate documentations are dispatched to insurers in a timely manner

  • Complete reports as required by the Manager 

  • Conduct monthly desks and covernotes audit and prepare audit report.

 

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Diploma in insurance

  • Five (5) years’ experience in a similar capacity

  • Experience in the general insurance industry (Underwriting)

  • Registered salesman in all classes of General insurance business
