Branch Operations Supervisor

Delisle Walwyn Group of Companies is seeking an experienced and hardworking individual to fill the position of Branch Operations Supervisor for their Insurance Services Department on Nevis. This position will report directly to the department’s Operations Manager.


Job Summary:

Sales professional who strongly believes in excellent customer service and ensuring value to all stakeholders and is passionate about sales.  The successful candidate will be responsible for selling Caribbean Alliance General Insurance products based on the Company’s guidelines. 


Duties & Responsibilities:

·       Sell various types of general insurance policies (to include motor, fire, property, liabilities, personal accident, travel, marine) to businesses and individuals on behalf of Delisle Walwyn & Co. Ltd. agents of Caribbean Alliance Insurance Co. Ltd.

·       Grow and maintain existing customer and partner relationships through assessment of customers’ needs to develop relevant solutions and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction

·       Develop and grow a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone calls, email, and networking

·       Consultative solution selling approach and make recommendations to customers of the various solutions offered by the company

·       Responsible for achieving sales and gross profit targets and defining sales plan to achieve these targets

·       Understands industry issues

·       Manage the proposal development process through to closing the sale.

·       Coordinate technical activities with Operations Manager and Insurance Director.

·       Support marketing activities, including mailings and webinars. Initiate marketing strategies and coordinate actions to influence the market

·       Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, meetings and presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities  

·       Submit accurate and timely reports and forecasts

·       Adhere to company policy, procedures and business ethics codes

·       Perform other related duties as assigned.



·       Committed to providing quality customer service and building strong customer relationships 

·       Proven sales and account management track record in achieving financial and non-financials targets.  Sales in General Insurance would be a plus.

·       Proven ability to close new clients and track record of achieving targets

·       Demonstrated sales skills with broad, in-depth and up-to-date knowledge on pertinent business and professional fields

·       Experience in managing multiple client sales engagements

·       Experience in managing complex client organizations

·       Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, and both technical and non-technical, and the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals in a professional and service-oriented manner

·       Excellent problem solving and time management skills

·       Self-motivated, self-disciplined and driven with the ability to work in a fast-paced team sales environment with minimum supervision

·       Well organized and has a strong ability to prioritize tasks to meet specified deadlines. Must monitor and track one’s own performance vis-à-vis targets and report to Management on progress and continually improve self-performance

·       Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite  


Education and Experience

·       Associates or Bachelor’s Degree with preference given to candidates with a first degree in Management or Business Studies. 

·       3+ Years hands-on sales experience with preference given to candidates with General Insurance sales.

·       Knowledge of AML/ CFT Compliance would be an asset.
