Assistant Manager - Payments Channel

The selected candidate will have the responsibility to support the engagement of all Sales Channels by providing support of sales initiates, inclusive of, but not limited to direct marketing (sales). The role will require focus on the implementation, tracking, and reporting on all sales channels, sales initiatives performed by the unit, as well as digital marketing efforts. In addition to assisting with the planning and execution of strategies to drive profitable growth of the Bank's products and services across all channels.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the channels, the card business, and Group Marketing, to ensure effective and efficient execution of Sales Initiatives.
  • Train all Group team members on Payments and Retail products and services e.g., Credit Card and MPOS/ POS etc.
  • Prepare presentations for Unit Head based on annual sales activities, assessment of market and other internal or external factors to improve sales performance of channels.
  • Produce Weekly and quarterly reports.
  • Assist with the achievement of the Business Development Unit Retail Banking Targets.
  • Custodian of the marketing collateral required to aide the sale of the products in the Branches.
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

 

Academic Qualifications/ Specialized Skills/ Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Marketing, Management Studies or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Three (3) years’ working experience in Sales and or Marketing in the Financial Industry.
  • Sound knowledge of computer software packages including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Strong attention to detail, sensitive to figures
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective client service processes.
  • Strong influencing skills, including people development, channel development, sales process and client referral skills.
  • High degree of confidentiality
  • Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
  • Effective team player.
