The work schedule for this position is: Intermittent (Irregular). Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Provide administrative/clerical support to Mission offices; type letters, telegrams, memoranda and reports from drafts; receive and distribute incoming correspondence and mail; distribute to the appropriate office; maintain schedules of reports and correspondence, track due dates and follow up on deadlines. The position is WAE, some after-hours, weekend and holiday work may be required. This position is supervised by the office in which duties are being performed but is assigned those duties by HR under direction of the Management Officer.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Must have at least one year of work experience in administrative, clerical, professional, and governmental.
Must have working knowledge of using Personal Computers and office equipment (copiers, FAX). Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and be able to type/prepare correspondence with speed and accuracy. Thorough knowledge of regulations governing control and protection of classified material set out in 12 FAM. Thorough knowledge of administrative and office procedures and management practices.
U.S. High School diploma or host country equivalency is required.
Level IV (Speaking/Reading/Writing) (advanced professional proficiency) English is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must possess good organizational and communication skills. Must be available for work on short notice. Must be observant, flexible and service oriented. Must be able to draft memos and reports in English which require little editing/correction. Must be computer literate and completely familiar with MS Office Software including MS Excel. (This may be tested)

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
