(Senior) IT Support Officer

Short Description

The (Senior) IT Support Office will be providing first-line support ensuring that users get maximum benefits from the smooth running of our computer systems. You handle incoming requests and incidents from our helpdesk system (tickets). You will also provide support by phone and email to users and solve problems remotely.

Responsibilities

Depending on your experience, you will be able to:

  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Talk with users or (internal) customers through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Replace parts as required
  • Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
  • Support the roll-out of new applications
  • Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
  • Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs
  • Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
  • Prioritize and manage several open cases at one time
  • Rapidly establish a good working relationship with (internal) customers and other professionals, such as software developers
  • Test and evaluate new technology
  • Conduct electrical/technical safety checks on computer equipment.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • HBO work and thinking level, preferably IT-degree
  • Experience with Office 365 management and configuration, server management, workstation and networks
  • You have good communication skills in Dutch, English, Papiamentu(o)
  • You are good at planning, prioritizing, organizing and you are a team worker
  • Due to the nature of the work, you may be expected to work shifts or be on call. It may also be necessary to work extra hours to finish a job
