Auditor

Duties of the post include: 

  1. Documenting systems of internal control through interviews, questionnaires, manuals etc.
  2.  Assisting with audit planning.
  3. Performing evaluation of control processes to manage key business risk.
  4. Understanding inherent risk and control issues, prioritise utilizing input from the Auditor-in-Charge (AIC).
  5. Identifying, documenting and agreeing through discussions on audit issues and management remedial action with local management, utilizing input from the AIC.
  6. Appropriate escalation to the AIC of high priority audit issues.
  7. Delivery of timely, high-quality audit working papers.
  8. Providing a timely and adequate clearance of review notes for the Auditor-in-Charge.
  9. Making recommendations for improvements in operational efficiency and internal control and identifying opportunities for cost reduction, income generation and /or income recovery.
  10. Drafting auditing issues for the audit report for AIC review.
  11. Working with external auditors (under the supervision of an Audit Manager) in completing agreed work and any special projects which may arise from time to time.
  12. Performing any other related duties as assigned by the Auditor-in-Charge and Head of Department.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Candidates should possess specialized skills that are normally learned through combinations of directly relevant technical training and on-the-job experience. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of IIA and other relevant professional standards and demonstrate continuous professional education.   

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:   

Candidates must have attained a B.Sc. degree in Accounting/Finance/Business/Information Technology and currently pursuing professional qualification (CIA, CISA, CRISA, CISM, CGEIT or CSX). 

Experience

Required:      

Three (3) years relevant work experience in an audit environment.

Salary will be fixed in accordance with Grade 10 of the salary scale ($9,795 x 346 - $13,947)
