The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting Sagicor Group Jamaica island wide to develop business opportunities and increase market share, identifing and developing strategies to penetrate specific target markets/associations/entities that provides significant potential for increased take-up of Sagicor’s product offerings in banking, insurance, investment, pension and property services, and participating in forums, networking activities and client meetings to identify financial needs and strengthen relationships 

Key Duties and Responsibilities 

 

  • Support the development of card and online marketing plans with accompanying budget, in keeping with the overall objective and strategy.
  • Execute regular presentations to existing and potential clients to present relevant financial solutions and facilitate increased take-up of Sagicor products:

  • Manage business development strategies to penetrate target markets and achieve set targets on an ongoing basis.

  • Coordinate ongoing research of the financial services industry to detect market trends and related information to identify sales opportunities and develop innovative sales strategies.

  • Present sales opportunities and create value proposition to increase productivity of sales team members.

  • Liaise with sales team leaders across the Sagicor Group to present opportunities for cross selling
  • Partner with the Business Intelligence and Research Unit to drive the analysis and segmentation of customer databases and create targeted offers.
  • Collaborate across Divisional lines to develop innovative/redesigned products and services and new ventures and innovation to attain revenue growth.
  • Develop business critical insights using analytics to drive strategic partnerships across the Group.
  • Perform the day-to-day administration functions and supervise unit staff inclusive of performance appraisal assessments.
  • Coach direct reports and develop initiatives to build team performance and morale to encourage the attainment of set goals
  • Liaise with relevant areas of the company to identify and resolve any administrative difficulties that affect the Group Sales functions.
  • Conduct performance appraisals on reporting staff.
  • Make recommendations to Divisional Heads and Group Human Resources for the manpower plan to recruit adequate number of Sales Agents.
  • Prepare and present monthly reports and the status of sales targets to Senior Management group.

 

 

Academic Qualifications/Specialized Skills/Competencies:  

 

  • First Degree in Management Studies, Business Administration, Marketing or an equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • A minimum of three years (3) demonstrated experience in a financial services sales environment.
  • Industry related designation would be an asset.
  • Prior experience in the Financial Services Industry would be advantageous.
  • LOMA Parts I and II.
  • Exceptional communication skills, leadership, analytical and decision making skills.
  • Ability to develop feasible business case and present compelling value proposition.
  • Working knowledge of the local and international financial markets
  • Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills to build and maintain effective working relationships and elicit cooperation from internal and external partners throughout all management levels/Divisions.
  • Must be highly driven, competitive, results orientated and leads by example.
  • Must possess the ability to recognize business needs within varying organizations/industries, in all customer prospects and existing account base.
  • Account planning skills and the ability to effectively develop and execute a sales strategy plan.
