Organization:
The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is charged with disaster management. It consists of Emergency Support Functions (ESF) that execute directives from the Emergency Operations Center. The Emergency Operations Center
operates under the auspice of the National Coordinator Disaster Management. In the Emergency Operations Center decisions are taken based on input from the ESF groups. Therefore, relevant information, data and analysis from the Back Office is needed for strategic decision-making.


Tasks consist of the following, but are not limited to:
 Managing the back office of the EOC by setting priority, dividing and coordinating tasks, as well as monitoring the progress;
 Collecting, processing and disseminating information / data to the EOC;
 Providing support to the EOC by analyzing and processing data;
 Scheduling, coordinating and tracking;
 Quality control.


Knowledge, Skills and abilities:
 Bachelor’s degree in project-management or overall management;
 Strong oral and written communication skills;
 Strong analytical skills;
 Strong assessment, planning and reporting skills;
 Proficient with Microsoft office suite tools, especially Excel;
 Strong multitasking skills;
 Result oriented;
 Flexible;
 Must be fluent in both the English and Dutch language;
 Able to manage multiple tasks within the allotted timeline/deadline.


Environment:
The environment in which the Coordinator for the Back Office operates is that of a high stress and high pace
environment. Furthermore, the information that the Coordinator is privy to is highly sensitive, for which a
confidentiality agreement must be signed. Additionally, operational hours of the back office are not standard and
will be dependent on the scope of work and determined in conjunction with the National Coordinator Disaster
Management. The Coordinator of the Back Office will fall under the Ministry of General Affairs, Fire Department, Section Disaster Management.
