The job levels within Retail are numerous:
► Assistants: work as shop assistants, cashiers, stock assistants or merchandisers and are held accountable for the advisory of clients and the exhibition and sale of products.
► Supervisors: considering the size of the establishment, middle managers such as staff supervisors or floor managers, supervise specific sections and departments of a store. They normally report to managers and secure that assistants follow up the business policies.
► Managers: generally survey various departments at the same time and can be entrusted with an entire store or even multiple stores in the same city or region. On this top level, however, the manager is frequently required to have previous experience as a supervisor within the Retail sector.
